Samsung ML 1250 - The Suited Home Business Printer
Utilizing the Samsung ML 1250 printer and Samsung ML 1250 toner is a simple enough assignment. After all, the unit is made to work together to provide good mono laser printer output for a single desktop or laptop PC or Mac. In this regard, it provides sufficient performance and printing capabilities suitable for just about any print job in the home or very small office environment. The best toner for this printer is the Samsung ML 1250 cartridge.
The ML 1250 printer comes standard with a USB and a legacy serial parallel printer port capability. There is no Ethernet or wireless connectivity, but for the price and the features, USB should be sufficient for most home environments. USB and serial cables are not provided as standard equipment, though. Be prepared to spend additional money for one or the other, or both.
Print output for this small desk-type mono laser printer is adequate, at 12 pages per minute. The 1200 dots-per-inch resolution is also an improvement from the 600dpi resolution of the printer it replaced. It can be reduced all the way down to 300dpi, if needed. Also, keep in mind that printer speeds will vary in accordance with the graphics and text richness of the print job being sent to the Samsung.
There is also 4MB of standard onboard memory in the Samsung ML 1250. This can be increased up to 68MB, which should be more than enough to handle just about any job. This includes card stock, transparencies or even graphics-rich posters and the like. And the ML 1250 was built to be more energy-wise than the older model formerly occupying this place in the Samsung universe.
This laser printer is made to work in most Windows and Mac operating system environments. It can also be joined up with Linux platforms, too. The flexibility inherent in this arrangement is an attractive feature in a machine in this price range, which is low. Paper feeds into the printer at the top, from a 150-sheet cassette tray. The look is reminiscent of a fax or ink jet printer, more than anything else. It's also a lightweight unit that's easy to move around the office.
This laser printer can be used handily enough through its simple-to-use control panel. Plus, it has a "Toner Save" capability which will help to stretch out the toner's lifespan to at least its stated output maximums. If extreme resolution and clarity is not a concern, this may make a good option to use.
The unit comes supplied with the Samsung ML 1250 toner cartridge, which is good for around 2,500 pages of output. After that, it will need to be replaced. If the jobs, though, are mainly graphics and picture-heavy, expect the cartridge to need replacement sooner than normal.
Both the Samsung ML 1250 printer and the ML 1250 toner cartridge go well together, as a team. The machine performs most print tasks and jobs with a minimum of muss or fuss, and the printed pages emerge clear and with good clarity. It has a maximum duty cycle of around 12,000 pages, giving it long life and good durability, too. Samsung ML 1250 toner cartridge is the best toner.
