The Ford 6.0 Liter Power Stroke Diesel Engine by RJ Performance
The new Ford 6.0 Liter Power Stroke Diesel Engine has 325 maximum horsepower output. This is adding an additional 100 horsepower to its previous version along with 560 foot poundage torque. This is one of the most innovative and new products on the market. Keep in mind that the Power Stroke “name” has been used for quite awhile, however, the 6.0 Liter Engine is brand new and has many new unique options and features.
The Ford 6.0 Liter Power Stroke Diesel Engine by RJ Performance is an electronically controlled, directly injected diesel engine. The meaning of a Direct Injection is that of the gas being injected directly into the engine cylinder. This makes it different from the type that must go through a pre-combustion chamber externally to the engine cylinder utilized on other diesel engines.
As with any new technology upgrade, there can be drawbacks. The major drawback of the Ford 6.0 Liter Power Stroke Diesel Engine by RJ Performance is the oil that must be used. It has to have the exact type of oil that it calls for otherwise it may foam up as it is going through the injector. This can cause a lot of hand starting and running rough.
Of course there are numerous other features of the Ford 6.0 Liter Power Stroke Diesel Engine that makes the performance amazing. These features can include:
- A Variable Vane Turbocharger.
- An Air to Air Intercooler.
- A Four Valve per Cylinder Head Design.
The Ford 6.0 Liter Power Stroke Engine is a modernized diesel that gives out the clean power and performance that we seek each day for a sophisticated work vehicle. This allows its buyers to own a diesel with the same type of level of comfort you would have if utilizing a normal gas engine.
The one major drawback to upgrading in new technology is the replacement cost, Costs to replace parts or costs to repair oil issues that can happen with the turbo. These problems can cause entire engine failure if they are not properly serviced.
