How exactly do I ship my textbooks via usps media mail?
I sold textbooks on amazon.com and they give me $3.99 credit to ship the package. They say that 3.99 will cover media mail shipping but when I go to the usps website to buy the postage label, there is no option for media mail. The only thing that is listed is priority mail and express mail. Can sombody help me out?
How do I get media rate stickers?
Answer:
Lower classes of mail are not supported on the free PC Postage sites. Subscription PC Postage vendors allow the rpinting of any postage amount and class.
All you need to do is to box the books up securely. Avoid going over 25 pounds or a surcharge will be applied, and go to your Post Office to mail.
$3.99 isn't a whole lot, even for Media Mail. That wil only cover up to 6 pounds. There are no stickers, but the PO might have a stamper to indicate Media MAil. You can also just write Media Mail on the address side of the box.
Also remember that Media Mail is subject to Postal Inspection, so make sure that there isn't anything more than the book(s) and an invoice/receipt, otherwise it wcould be disqualified from Media Mail rates.
