Biodegradable bags have become more and more popular, because they are better for the environment and many people are concerned about being more "green". This plastic is manufactured through blending an additive which provides a UV/oxidative catalyst if it is disposed of. This plastic will take anywhere from a couple of months to several years to collapse in a landfill. The biodegradation happens in two steps, first the plastic is converted by reacting to oxygen and second by breaking down into molecular fragments which can be biodegraded into fractional co2, water and other compounds by micro organisms. These bags are inexpensive and also have a longer shelf life than most biodegradable bags. They are also recyclable. These plastic bags look just like regular plastic bags, except they biodegrade when they are removed.
Once we move towards being more conscious of our environment and taking care of the planet, it is a good idea to choose biodegradable plastic bags. Traditional plastic bags are taxing environmental surroundings by using petroleum based resources and a very involved manufacturing process. Eventually these bags is going to be banned.

The problem of disposing of plastic could be solved from the following: regular poly materials must be replaced with biodegradable bags. Using biopolymers in all types of plastic packaging will ensure their utilization inside a period of many weeks to several years, instead of hundreds of years. The nice point is that many modern companies have mastered the production of environmentally-safe plastics.
Polymers decompose to create volatile and solid items that don't damage environmental surroundings. The mechanism of these decomposition is as follows: first there's oxidation brought on by exposure to light, heat and mechanical loads; as there are biodegradation caused by microorganisms.
